Like Wine--Hope&Survivors Series

Blood red

Smooth & sweet.

Aged well

As it should be.

Carassing those

who understood.

Staining forever

those who forsake her.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ME....

I'm a Mom(a Human Child & many Fur Babies), Daughter, Friend.

My Daughter Renee, who I now run Re(Renee)Li(Lisa)Arts with, is a constant drive in all we do, the oars that keeps my formerly sinking ship afloat, and the rudder that keeps me headed in the right direction.

My Mom Peggy, is the founding Matriarch of our travels, the lead Elephant in our little herd. Where she's been, many will never go. What she's seen & had to become, most would refuse to go on. But, it's this refusal to be anything else than who she is, is how we've all learned to be, & we're blessed.

I'm also a Writer, Poet, Artist, Crafter, Photographer.

I get sick, look like crap, swear like a Marine(takes a bow, & says thank you to my Dad Terry), can't remember my name without notes, but I can tell you every line from every movie I love.

I am an Animal Rescuer, Pet Mom, Animal Nurse(in my 'spare time'), lost more Furry Souls than I want to remember, & loved every minute, & will never be who I was before.

I'm real...I'm complicated, & that's ok.

I'm many times the "Dragons" I talk about here on my Blog...& that's ok too.

Because we're all a little of these things.

What I hope to show you, as you walk through my life with me....Is that...Strong Is Beautiful Too...& It really is ok to be proud of that.

WHERE I GOT MY START ONLINE & ON MY BLOG....

Healing Purrs is a Blog, Weekly Party, & Positive Thoughts/Energy/Prayers Community online. I got to know these folks in what we call the "Anipals" groups, on Twitter & Facebook.

It's diverse, with ever changing circles of people, spreading & developing, touching every corner of culture & language.

I was asked to join them in "Pawties", eventually contributing to their Blog, & co-hosting the Healing Purrs Pawties on Fridays....And through their encouragement, eventually hosting my own Pawties whenever I could.

There's always a place where EVERY Pet or Animal person can feel at home....
