My heart pounds,

Even now,

Thinking of

Such a silly thing,

To think

That just the

Memory of your

Breath 

Against my ear,

Would 

Bring my resolve to 

Make it without

You,

To it's

Knees.

Why have I gone so 

Long,

Why have I waited to

See you.

When all I

Have to do,

Is close 

My eyes

&

Know you would

Be there.

I don't know.

Maybe 

It's the loss

Of others in our world

That knew you,

Shattered 

That place in a way

I didn't know how

To resurrect.

To see you again,

We are Your History, your religion's sacred memory, your guides, & protection from your worst self.

We are Our Blood that continues in you, even when you are not of this flesh. Our Blood of these bodies, in this world matters not, our souls join as one.

So as the world celebrates, remember Who You Are...
