The Life Givers,
the ones who heal.
The ones who take breath away,
& choose to give
the last of our own.
We are
Your History,
your religion's sacred memory,
your guides,
& protection from your worst self.
We are
Our Blood
that continues in you,
even when you are not
of this flesh.
Our Blood of these bodies,
in this world
matters not,
our souls join as one.
So as the world celebrates,
