Ever More--Fire And Ice Series--Hope & Survivors Series

The Demons
I've come to
know,
some
I made.
Some were born
in me.
And I carry
them
still.

The Fires
they see
in me,
they light
a path
I've always
known.

The Fear
of those who
walk it with me,
I protect.
For only some
may see
in the darkness
I crave.

To Walk
among the light,
is a path
I feared
the
most.
Unfamiliar,
it burns,
a spotlight
in the darkness
I hide in.

The Safety
I remember
in my dreams,
the places
where I would
surrender.
I miss those
still.

I Wonder,
as I grow
more used to
the light,
what the other
side of me
will
feed on.
The part of me
I'd come
to rely on
so long
now.

I Hear
the echos
of
the roar
inside,
and
I remember
it lives
in me still.

Whispering
it will
be here,
hold me in
it's embrace,
ever more.

Premonition--Fire & Ice Series

The rains
Pour.
The dark fires
Inside me
Burn.

The sun
Blots out
The shadows
I keep.

The Earth
Beneath me
Shudders
Once again.

The breath
Of my
Soul
Dampens
With the
Winds of
Change.

But
The flames
Heat in
Me
A distance
I
No longer
Cover.

For the
Strength
Within
Waits
Paces
Grows ever
Strong.

This storm
I see
It's nothing
I've not
Fought before.

Only
A premonition
Of more
To
Come.

Home--Black Series--A "By Josephine McRose" Series

Once upon a time....
These are the words
I long to hear.

I saw you across
a crowed
room.
This is the story
I should
tell.

I knew
you were standing
under a street
lamp.
A creature
I once
feared.

I could feel
the blood pumping
in my ears.
I could hear
nothing
else.

My face hit
against
the piercing wind.
&
I sat there
still.

This.
This is our
story.
You.
Me.
The light reflecting
off your eyes.
As they followed
me
home.

A "By Josephine McRose" Series--AZ Rains Series--Like You Do

The floods,
they're back.
The ones
I know
follow you.

I find myself
at the window
again
tonight.

Looking out,
like I
always do.

I wait here,
the smells,
the creosote
in my lungs,
the scent
of
gunpowder
in the air.
Again.

I check
the bed side
table,
& your picture
is still there.

Sneaking past them,
being sure
I don't wake
them,
in this
small space
we share.

I turn one last
time,
knowing
you can't see
me,
all the way
up here.
But
I always look
anyway,
your breath
beating
in my ears.

I climb down
the stairs,
in this close
hallway,
I feel the others
in their rooms.
Always wondering
if they can
feel me
too.

I finally reach
the bottom,
floor level,
where I know
you'll be.
Waiting,
like you always
do.

Pictures Of You(Alternate Title--Perfection)--A "By Josephine McRose" Series(A New Name I've Thought Of Writing Under--Family & I Came Up With The Name About 12 Years Ago----I'm Experimenting Here With A Different Style--More Similar To The "Story" Like Style I Stared With Years Ago)--What I Do Here--Is Only A Little Of What I Do When I'm Not On My BLog

Your delicate touch,
you move me
like a freight train.

Your gentle voice,
booms
in my ear,
from
behind me,
rattles in my
rib cage.

Your soft skin,
sharp,
like a blade,
cutting hot
against my
skin.

Your smell,
oh,
your smell,
in my heart,
a
scent I can't
identify,
a smell
I can't
wash from
me.

That face,
those
eyes,
that look
at me,
follow me,
know me too
well,
pick me out
of a
crowd.

That breath,
in my ear,
coming so
fast,
short gasps,
pounding
against
me.

Time,
your
time,
stands still,
slows down
with me,
holds me
here,
fascinates me,
shows me
pictures
of
you.

I first started writing poetry yrs ago.

I started writing--Well, since I can remember.

See--writing--Visualizing--That's what works for me. To see--Literally--Is what's in my head. Words--Phrases--Those are foreign--Don't feel right--& I struggle to use them. I always have.

Now--I can talk your ear off--I can tear you a "new one" heard around the world--But To sit down--& Really tell you how I feel--That's not the same thing. Not for me anyway.

So--Here we are--As I sit here--& You sit there--I show you a bit more of what I really do.

I write--Like I see. I draw the same way. I sit in a "Matrix" like room--In my mind--& I see what's in there. What's me. And I turn it round & round--Literally--Until I've shown you all that's there.

I'm pleases to say these things out loud--Because it's who--& What--I really am.
Maybe a little strange--Maybe not unique at all. But it's...Simply me.

I hope to bring some more of "Josephine McRose" to you--Show you where it all began. Where all these people--& They really **are** people to me--Where these people you see here--In my Blog--began. They're just who's always been there--In a different place--In a different time. But they are--Essentially the same--As they were over 10 years ago--& Who they've always been--For me.

So--Please--Feel free to stop on in--Take a look around.

You may see something familiar--Something you can recognize--Maybe in yourself--Too.

We **all** have a little world inside--That likes to play when we're alone. I just draw back the curtains a bit--& Let you join in. :)

Where You Are--A.Z. Rains Series(Different style developed by chance--Listening to Techno/EDM on earphones)

RAIN
ON THE STREET
THE SOUND
OF IT
FLOODING.

I LOOK BELOW ME
YOUR SCENT
IN THE AIR.

I CLOSE MY EYES
& I CAN STILL
SEE YOU
STANDING THERE.

I FIND MYSELF
WALKING
DOWNSTAIRS.

THE RADAR
IN MY HEAD
GOING OFF.

THE RINGING
IN MY EARS
THE SOUNDS
OF YOU.

RED FLAGS
OH NO.

BEACONS.

THAT'S WHAT
YOU ARE.

SIGNALS
I PICK UP
IN MY SLEEP.

FEEL
YOU
CALL ME
NO MATTER
WHERE YOU ARE...
